Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how American Design Hub (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the ADH Image Compressor website, account system, payment features, developer API, and browser extension at compress.americandesignhub.com.

1. Who we are

ADH Image Compressor is operated by American Design Hub. For privacy questions, contact hello@americandesignhub.com.

2. What the service does

The service compresses, converts, and resizes images and PDFs that you upload or select. Processing happens on our servers; the result is returned to your browser for download.

3. Files you upload

• Files are processed only to fulfill your request.
• Files are handled in temporary storage and removed after processing completes (or when the request fails).
• We do not sell your files, use them for advertising, or train AI models on them.
• Do not upload content you are not allowed to process.

4. Account information

If you create an account, we store:

• Email address
• Password hash (we never store your password in plain text)
• Session and security tokens needed to keep you signed in
• Plan, usage counters, and related account status

This data is used to authenticate you, enforce free/pro limits, send account emails (verification / password reset when enabled), and provide billing support.

5. Payments

Paid plans are processed by Stripe and/or PayPal. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Payment providers share limited billing data with us (such as subscription status, customer IDs, and transaction references) so we can activate or cancel your plan. Their privacy policies apply to data they process directly.

6. Developer API keys

If you request an API key, we store the email you provide, an optional label, a hashed copy of the key, and usage logs needed for rate/usage limits. The full key is shown once at creation and is not re-displayed.

7. Browser extension

When you use the Chrome extension, the image or file you select is sent to our API for processing and the result is downloaded to your device. Preferences may be saved locally in your browser (for example quality and format settings). The extension does not track your general browsing history.

8. Cookies and similar technology

We use essential cookies for signed-in sessions and CSRF protection (for example adh_session and adh_csrf). These are required for secure login and are not used for advertising.

9. Logs and security

Servers may keep short-lived technical logs (such as timestamps, IP address, and error details) to operate, secure, and debug the service. We do not use these logs to profile you for marketing.

10. What we do not do

• We do not sell personal data.
• We do not permanently keep uploaded files after processing.
• We do not place advertising trackers in the core compressor workflow.

11. Data retention

• Uploaded files: temporary only, deleted after the request.
• Account records: kept while your account exists and as needed for legal, billing, or security purposes.
• Payment records: kept as required for accounting and dispute handling.

12. Your choices

You may request account deletion or a copy of account-related data by emailing hello@americandesignhub.com. You can also log out at any time and cancel a paid subscription from your account page (subject to the provider’s billing period rules).

13. Children’s privacy

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

14. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
